Route Details
- Route: Rome Fiumicino (FCO) ↔ Belfast International (BFS)
- Launch date: 26 October 2026

What This Means for Visitors to Italy
For Northern Irish and Irish travellers planning a trip to Italy this winter or in 2027, the Rome route removes the need for a connection. Rome is Italy’s most-visited city and a natural entry point for visitors heading to the Lazio region, the south, or nearby Tuscany and Umbria.
If you’re flying into Fiumicino, the airport is connected to central Rome by the Leonardo Express train, which runs to Roma Termini station in approximately 32 minutes.
